STmicroelectronics VN7000AY Single-Channel High-Side Driver is designed to drive 12V automotive grounded loads.

STMicroelectronics VN7000AY is a single-channel high-side driver fabricated using ST‘s proprietary Vipower® M0-7 technology and housed in a PowerSSO-36 package. It is designed to drive 12V automotive grounded loads through a 3V and 5V CMOS compatible interface for protection and diagnostics.

The VN7000AY integrates advanced protection features such as load current limiting, overload management via ΔTJ, and thermal shutdown with latching function. In the event of a fault, a toggle on the INPUT pin unlocks the output. Dedicated multi-function, multiplexed analog output pins with sophisticated diagnostic capabilities including high-accuracy proportional load current sensing, supply voltage feedback, and die temperature sensing, in addition to overload and short-to-ground, short-to-VCC, and off-state empty. The sense enable pin allows disabling off-state diagnostics in module low-power modes and sharing external sense resistors between similar devices.
