Texas Instruments‘ LED matrix manager TPS92664-Q1 device enables a fully dynamic adaptive lighting solution by providing individual pixel-level LED control. The device includes four substrings of four series-integrated switches to bypass individual LEDs. Individual substrings allow the device to accept single or multiple current sources.

The TPS92664-Q1 has an internal oscillator. The internal oscillator can be shared with other system devices through the internal low noise LVDS transmitter and receiver blocks. The multidrop Universal Asynchronous Receiver Transmitter (UART) serial interface is compatible with the TPS92665, TPS92667, TPS92662x, and TPS92663x devices. Internal EEPROM can store system defaults as well as calibration and lighting module data. An onboard ADC with multiple inputs samples all LED channels as well as IC die temperature and LED current sensing. The ADC also samples dedicated ADC inputs for system temperature compensation, LED binning and encoding.

The TPS92664-Q1 contains registers for programming the phase shift and pulse width of each individual LED in the string and for reporting LED open, short fault and functional parameters.
