ADI is ADG73 and ADG725 are single-chip, CMOS, 32-channel/dual 16-channel analog multiplexers, respectively, with a serially controlled three-wire interface. The ADG731 switches one of the 32 inputs (S1-S32) to common output D. The ADG725 can be configured either as a dual multiplexer, switching one of the 16 inputs to one output, or as a differential multiplexer, switching one of the 16 inputs to a differential output.

These multiplexers use a 3-wire serial interface and are compatible with SPI®, QSPI™, MICROWIRE™ and some DSP interface standards. On power-up, the internal shift register is all zeros and all switches are off.

These multiplexers are designed on an advanced sub-micron process and feature low power consumption, high switching speed, very low on-resistance and leakage current. They operate from a single 1.8 V to 5.5 V supply or a dual ±2.5 V supply, making them ideal for a variety of applications. The on-resistance is on the order of a few ohms, the switches are closely matched, and the on-resistance curve is very flat over the entire signal range.

The ADG73 and ADG725 can be used as a multiplexer or a demultiplexer with excellent performance and the input signal range extends to the supply voltage range. In the OFF condition, the signal level reaching the supply voltage is blocked. All channels use break-before-make switches to prevent momentary short circuits when switching channels.

The ADG731 and ADG725 are serially controlled 32-channel and dual/differential 16-channel multiplexers, respectively. They are available in 48-pin LFCSP or TQFP packages.
