Texas Instruments‘ UCC28C40-Q1 is a high-performance current-mode PWM controller. Supports implementation of fixed frequency, peak current mode flyback with UVLO and maximum duty cycle limiting. Configuration-wise, it can use an auxiliary winding for primary-side adjustment, or an optocoupler for secondary-side adjustment. This family of devices enables high frequency operation up to 1MHz with low start-up and operating currents, thereby minimizing start-up losses and operating power consumption, improving efficiency. They also feature fast current sensing (up to 35ns output delay time) and ±1A peak output current capability to directly drive external bulk MOSFETs.
The UCC28C40-Q1 is available in an 8-pin SOIC(D) package.
