ISSI has been supporting the automotive market since 1999. And in 2001, ISSI established the automotive business department and began to expand its support to the market. The design cycle for the automotive market can be 3-4 years from inception to production. Production will then run for another 5-6 years. The need for late support has existed for several years. ISSI works with customers to support three different grades of automotive asynchronous SRAM products. They are -40C to +85C, -40C to +105C and -40C to +125C. ISSI has designed products to operate at these temperatures and has been thoroughly tested for them. The "design guarantees product performance" approach is deprecated.

ISSI has passed IS09001:2000 certification. All subcontractors in the current automotive production process are ISO/TS16949 certified. All new product selections meet or exceed the requirements specified in the AEC-Q100 certification standard. Don‘t rely solely on certification to ensure products meet the highest quality standards. Instead, a quality system is employed, designed to ensure that products meet the highest standards of all customers. All stages of the production process are controlled and fully documented in standard automotive PPAP.
