1. Analog Devices AD/DA Devices
With signal conditioning, 1mW power consumption, dual-channel 16-bit AD converter - AD7705
AD7705 is an AD converter suitable for low frequency measurement instruments produced by AD company. It can directly convert the weak input signal received from the sensor to a serial digital signal output without the need for an external instrumentation amplifier. The Σ-Δ ADC is used to achieve 16-bit error-free performance, and the on-chip programmable amplifier can set the input signal gain. The first notch of the digital filter can be set by adjusting the turn-off time and update rate of the internal digital filter through on-chip control registers. With a 3V supply and a 1MHz master clock, the AD7705 consumes only 1mW. AD7705 is an ideal circuit based on microcontroller (MCU) and digital signal processor (DSP) system, which can further save cost, reduce size, and reduce system complexity. Used in microprocessors (MCU), digital signal processing (DSP) systems, hand-held instruments, distributed data acquisition systems.
2.3V/5V CMOS Signal Conditioning AD Converter - AD7714
The AD7714 is a complete analog front end for low-frequency measurement applications that receive small signals directly from sensors and output serial digital quantities. It uses sigma-delta conversion techniques to achieve up to 24-bit precision code without loss. The input signal is applied to a dedicated programmable gain amplifier located at the front end of the analog modulator. The output of the modulator is processed by an on-chip digital filter. The first notch of the digital filter is programmed through an on-chip control register that adjusts the filter cutoff and settling times. The AD7714 has 3 differential analog inputs (can also be 5 pseudo-differential analog inputs) and a differential reference input. Single supply operation (3V or 5V). Therefore, the AD7714 can perform all signal conditioning and conversion for systems with up to 5 channels. The AD7714 is well suited for sensitive microcontroller- or DSP-based systems, and its serial interface allows 3-wire operation through which gain, signal polarity, and channel selection can be software-set. The AD7714 features self-calibration, system, and background calibration options, and also allows the user to read and write on-chip calibration registers. The CMOS structure ensures very low power consumption, and the power saving mode reduces the standby power consumption to 15μW (typ.).
3. Micropower 8-channel 12-bit AD converter - AD7888
AD7888 is a high-speed, low-power 12-bit AD converter, single-supply operation, the voltage range is 2.7V ~ 5.25V, the conversion rate is up to 125ksps, the minimum input track-hold signal width is 500ns, and the single-ended sampling method. AD7888 includes 8 single-ended analog input channels, and the analog input range of each channel is 0~Vref. The device converts full power signals to 3MHz. The AD7888 has an on-chip 2.5V voltage reference, which can be used as a reference source for the analog-to-digital converter. The pin REFin/REFout allows the user to use this reference, and can also drive this pin in turn to provide an external reference to the AD7888. The voltage range is 1.2V to VDD. The CMOS structure ensures power consumption of 2mW (typ) in normal operation and 3μW in power-down mode.
4. Micro power consumption, full-scale voltage output, 12-bit DA converter - AD5320:
AD5320 is a monolithic 12-bit voltage output D/A converter, which operates from a single power supply and has a voltage range of 2.7V to 5.5V. The on-chip high-precision output amplifier provides full-power amplitude output. The AD5320 utilizes a 3-wire serial interface with a clock frequency of up to 30MHz and is compatible with standard SPI, QSPI, MICROWIRE and DSP interface standards. The AD5320‘s reference comes from the power supply input, thus providing the widest dynamic output range. The device contains a power-on reset circuit that ensures that the output of the D/A converter is stable at 0V until a valid write input signal is received. The device has a power saving feature to reduce the current consumption of the device, typically 200nA at 5V. In power saving mode, software selectable output load is provided. The power saving mode can be entered through the control of the serial interface. Low power consumption during normal operation makes this device ideal for handheld battery powered equipment. Power consumption is 0.7mW at 5V, dropping to 1μW in power-saving mode.
5. 24-bit intelligent data conversion system MicroConvertersTM-ADuC824:
ADuC824 is the newest member of MicroConvertersTM series, it is the Σ-Δ converter with flashing electric erasable programmable memory (Flash/EEPROM) that AD Company takes the lead in introducing. It is unique in that it integrates high-performance data converters, flash memory with program and data, and an 8-bit microcontroller. The ADuC824 is a complete high-precision data acquisition system-on-chip when you choose high-precision data conversion for industrial, instrumentation, and smart sensor interface application requirements.
